It begins with a jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to Tato village, followed by a 3-4 hour hike to Fairy Meadows. From there, trekkers continue to the base camp, which involves a further 5-6 hour trek through rugged terrain and glacier moraines.


The trek is suitable for both novice and experienced trekkers. While the initial path to Fairy Meadows is relatively moderate, the hike to the base camp demands good physical fitness and stamina, offering a satisfying challenge to adventure enthusiasts.

Trekkers can stay in traditional log cabins or camp under the stars, adding to the immersive experience. Itineraries

Day 1

: Arrival at Islamabad International Airport, transfer to hotel. Briefing session about the trek. Explore Islamabad, visiting landmarks like Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument and dinner at Margalla Hill top.

Day 2

Travel from Islamabad to Chilas: Early morning departure by road (approx. 11-12 hours, 461 km via Karakoram Highway). Scenic drive along the, views of Indus River. Overnight: Chilas.

Day 3

Your Plan

Travel: Drive from Chilas to Raikot Bridge (2 hours). Transfer to local jeeps for a rough, adventurous ride to Tattu Village (1.5-2 hours). Trek from Tattu Village to Fairy Meadows (3-4 hours, moderate difficulty).Breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat and surrounding peaks. Overnight: Fairy Meadows in wooden cottages or camping.

Day 4

Fairy Meadows Exploration: Acclimatization day. Explore Fairy Meadows, hike to viewpoint. Stunning views of Nanga Parbat (8,126 meters), photography, relaxation. Overnight: Fairy Meadows.

Day 5

: Fairy Meadows to Nanga Parbat Base Camp. Full-day trek to Nanga Parbat Base Camp (8-9 hours round trip, challenging). View of the Raikot Glacier, Nanga Parbat Base Camp, reflection in small lakes. Overnight: Fairy Meadows.

Day 6

Fairy Meadows to Raikot Bridge to Chilas. Trek back to Tattu Village (2-3 hours). Jeep ride to Raikot Bridge, then drive to Chilas. Overnight: Chilas.

Day 7

Chilas to Islamabad: Drive back to Islamabad via Karakoram Highway. Overnight: Islamabad.
